How to Connect

Storms of Time is a text-based MUD played using the telnet protocol. Although you can play with the simple telnet client included in most operating systems, we don't recommend it.

To experience Storms of Time at its best, we strongly urge that you find a MUD client.

WinTin++

We believe that the best choice is WinTin++. An excellent, powerfully built client, it has been designed with the needs of the MUD gamer kept in mind.

After you start up WinTin++ type: #session sot sotmud.net 4321 in order to connect. More information on how to use this client is on the TinTin++ homepage.

Other clients to consider are:

Soterm - Compact VT100 client for Windows users.
TinTin++ - For Unix users.

If you are forced to use telnet:

To turn on local echo:

Press Ctrl + ]
Type ";set localecho";
Hit the enter key twice.
